Greetings With History, Creator

Amanda Wray is a creative designer, writer, and life-long feminist from rural Kentucky. I now calls the Blue Ridge Mountains home. I'm an archivist of the everyday who loves historical images and has been recording oral histories with marginalized voices since the early 2000s.

 

My mother sent greeting cards out each week, creating in me a tradition to stay in touch via snail mail. Greeting cards are little hugs in envelopes that can spark laughter and tears, whether you are opening a card that just arrived or you reconnect with it decades later.
